The Proton Tiara was a Citroën AX built by Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd in Malaysia

The Tiara was launched in 1,1 litre five door hatchback form in 1996.

Based on the Citroën AX , it was restyled at the front to tie in with the other, Mitsubishi based cars in the Proton range. 

The Tiara used the carburettor version of the 1,1 litre developing 45 kw and has a top speed of 161 kph.

Production ceased in 1999 after some 30,000 units were built.
