Berlingo Restyled for 2003

CITROËN BERLINGO MULTISPACE

THE ORIGINAL AND MOST POPULAR JUST GETS BETTER

Currently celebrating record sales, the fabulously versatile Citroën Berlingo Multispace is set to further increase the pressure on its rivals, in the very market sector it created in the UK. The 2002 Paris Motor Show will see the debut of a robust new exterior look, a revised interior, enhanced levels of equipment and improvements to the running gear and occupant safety.

Marking it out as true leisure vehicle, the New Look Berlingo Multispace features a compact front end which introduces deep wraparound bumpers below the squared-off clear lens headlamps. The almost horizontal bonnet and front wings have been redesigned to complement the neat lines of the grille, while certain models can also be fitted with foglamps and 15” wheels.

On-board, the New Look Berlingo Multispace boasts a completely redesigned dashboard which incorporates a centrally-located display screen, colour-coded dials, and several new stowage areas. Cruise control is available on the range for the first time, as are aircraft style trays on the back of the front seats, front armrests and Citroën’s Modubox folding trolley.

Digital multiplex wiring offers new advantages such as a key fob operated ‘location’ function, automatic locking of the doors when the vehicle is in motion and speed sensitive stereo volume. Guide-me-home headlamps, wipers that are indexed to the vehicle speed and progressive dimming of the cabin lights are also available.

The New Look Berlingo Multispace now benefits from improved impact resistance, the availability of ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, up to four airbags and improvements to the steering, brakes and body structure.

But it also continues to do what it has always done best – provide a highly practical, high value alternative for family motorists. The New Look Berlingo Multispace offers more space than the biggest estate car and the creature comforts of a family hatchback, all for the price of a supermini.
