Citroën
has linked up with renowned German tuning and modification specialists,
Carlsson, to produce a luxurious, high performance version of the C5
Estate, already one of the most comfortable and practical estate cars
around. The Citroën 'C5 by Carlsson' shows how the car can be
transformed into a high-powered, executive express capable of competing
with the very best the sports estate sector has to offer.
Making
its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the one-off 'C5 by
Carlsson' is powered by a 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine that has been
re-engineered to offer substantially enhanced performance. Coupled to
an auto-adaptive automatic gearbox with sequential control, the
upgraded engine delivers almost 15% more power (235 hp) and torque
(240 lb ft) than the standard model.
Special 18-inch wheels, coupled with adapted suspension settings and
Citroën's class-leading Hydractive 3 suspension, combine to ensure that
there is no trade-off in comfort or road-holding for occupants of the
'C5 by Carlsson'.
In addition to the new alloy wheels, a number of other exterior styling
changes help to underline the dynamic character of the 'C5 by
Carlsson'. These include aerodynamic front and rear spoilers and
side mouldings, while black door mirrors and twin exhausts complete the
new look.
Providing a luxurious interior finish to satisfy even the most
demanding customer, a combination of 'Cognac' leather and 'Cognac' and
Dark Grey Amaretta® has been used across the seats, dashboard, door
panels and roof trim.

The Citroën C5 by Carlsson features large wheels (225/40 x 18)
with alloy wheels of a new design. The different suspension
settings - damping, springing, roll control - have been chosen to
ensure there is no trade off between the comfort of the original
vehicle and the dynamic needs of the more powerful engine.
