In the UK, the Xantia range starts with the base model which is available with a choice of 1,8i, 1,9SD and 1,9TD engines for the saloon and 1,9TD only for the estate. 

In other markets, the 1,8i and 1,9 SD engines are available in the estate.

The next trim level is the X saloon which is available with 1,8i 16v and 1,9 TD engines.

Then comes the LX trim level with a choice of 1,8i 16v, 1,8i 16v automatic, 1,9 TD, 1,9 TD automatic and 2,0 HDI saloons and estates.

The SX is the next trim level with a choice of 1,8i 16v, 1,8i 16v automatic,, 2,0i 16v, 2,0i 16v automatic, 1,9 TD, 1,9 TD automatic and 2,9 HDI saloons and estates.

The Exclusive trim level features Hydractive 2 suspension and is available with a choice of 2,0i 16v, 2,0i 16v automatic, 3,0i V6 automatic, 1,9 TD automatic and 2,0 HDi saloon and estates.

Finally there is the Activa saloon which is only available with the 2,0i Turbo engine and manual transmission.

In other markets, Activa is available with the HDi and V6 engines.
