In 2015, Auto Plus revealed that Citroęn would
show a new Méhari at the 2016 Frankfurt motor
show, using the underpinnings of the yet-to-be
launched C3 and the C4
Cactus. It used plastic reinforced with
glass fibre panels on the EMP1 platform and many
of the interior components of the C4 Cactus.
In the event, this car was not shown at the 2016
Frankfurt motor show but two concepts were
subsequently shown - the e-Méhari
and Concept M.
