GS Coupé

Citroën researched the marketplace for a GS Coupé and a number of prototypes were built, by the Bureau d'Etudes and by coachbuilders - the best known of which was Bertone's Camargue (the name was sold to Rolls Royce for an undisclosed sum) which was presented at the 1972 Geneva Motor Show.

Top left, left and above Heuliez proposed this 3 door coupé which preserved the profile of the production saloon. Compared with the saloon where the boot lid extended to the rear bumper, this particular car featured a very high and therefore somewhat impractical rear panel, thereby defeating any practicality of a hatchback.
