The Xantia was fitted with three different iterations of the hydropneumatic system. Base models used the standard system as fitted to the BX, mid range models used the Hydractive 2 system as fitted to the XM while top of the range models used the Activa system which employed hydraulic rams to provide completely flat cornering.
