A front end that marks a break with current practices

The front end of the Citroën C8 gives the vehicle a welcoming and appealing air that breaks with the current design codes of high-spec people-carriers. The two styling lines that cross at grille level give the front end homogeneity.
The jovial personality of the C8 is illustrated by the generously sized radiator grille, structured by a central bar and chrome-plated chevrons, the "smiling" oval of the headlamps and the ribbing on the curvaceous bonnet.
The compact, rounded enveloping bonnet, the large transparent, clear-lens headlamps and the deep bumper express performance and robust strength.

Taut, fluid lines

Seen sideways on, the taut and fluid lines of the car accentuate the impression of dynamic movement. The first line rises from the headlamp and extends to the rear of the vehicle to elongate the body, while the curve of the second line carves out a pure arch shape that encompasses the car from the windscreen pillar to the extreme rear of the roof. Framing the large glazed area, these two lines do away with the conventional visual alignment and its connotations of commercial vehicles.

Innovative architecture

The C8 has a vast panoramic windscreen of 2 m2, the largest fitted on a volume-produced passenger car to date. The windscreen is one of the car's primary architectural features. Its curve structures the pillars by creating a break between the windscreen and the bonnet. This feature gives the front end the styling signature of a saloon.
The high-positioned vertical lights at the rear reinforce the impression of safety and set the C8 apart from the competition.

Striking styling features

A host of styling details, expressing modern values, enhance the looks of the C8 and position it clearly among the high-spec people carriers:

  • the chrome-plated and stylised door handles (designed and positioned in such a way that they appear to form one large handle on the side of the vehicle), grab handle on the tailgate and roof bars;

  • side indicator repeater lights incorporated in the lower part of the rear view mirror;

  • transparent, clear-lens headlamps and rear lights that emphasise technical qualities;

  • two-tone alloy wheels that give the vehicle allure and character.
